So Long Adorn

I wasn’t going to post about this on my vacation but wanted to say my piece to divert further e-mails about the subject.

It’s true- the last issue of Adorn was the Winter’ ‘07 issue. Everyone who worked on Adorn put a lot of love into it, but it’s hard to make a magazine and make ends meet, and ultimately, it didn’t work out. If there are magazines you love that you don’t want to see disappear, I have one word of advice: subscribe. Buy every issue. That is really the only way to let the magazine-makers and advertisers know that the audience is out there.

Thanks so much to everyone who read, subscribed, contributed and spread the word about the magazine. It was really fun to make each issue happen, to seek out new crafters who hadn’t been published before, and to see how readers translated each project into their own inspiration.

If you’d like to buy back issues, you can do so here. If you have a question about your subscription, try the customer service number listed here. We had a good run.

A friend of mine here in Austin knew someone who worked on the magazine, so I subscribed for a year… To only get one issue. EVER. I was very disappointed and never followed through on fixing the subscription error. I just assumed it would arrive in the mail sooner or later. . . I really loved the magazine, and unfortunately, I really will miss it.

Wow, that is such a bummer - that was my favorite magazine! I have been wondering when the next issue would be out. I had a subscription from the very beginning, and still have every copy. Now I will cherish them even more.

Sad, but true. Believe me, I wish we could have made it work! I just wanted to echo Linda with my thanks to all who participated, inspired and lent their support along the way. It was and is much appreciated. Until next time…

I’m trying to find the paper sunburst brooch pattern! It was on the website, and then it was gone! Do you know where I can get it?

While I came to it a bit late (as is always the case it seems) I was happy to hear about your feelings about leaving NYC after your visit. I hope I’ll be in the same place when I finally go back. Doesn’t it feel good knowing you made the right decision?
By the way, the photos from your visit were stunning, and the recent tops you’ve posted are ridiculously cute. Lucky you that you can wear short sleeves outside right now!

And now I realize that I’ve left the above comment under the wrong post… gah! So sorry. File this under “New York.”
